CHANGING
OF THE GUARD: Call for Volunteers!
Action
Committee officers are nearing the end of their term. New officers will
be elected at the January 26 2009 meeting.
We invite you to stand for election, if you
would like to take a leadership role in our community and work with
a GREAT bunch of neighbors and friends.

Chair: Dan Mullins Vice-Chair:
Nicole Mazza Treasurer: Shawn Mazza
* No candidate for Secretary has yet stepped forward.
Don't hesitate!
DAN MULLINS has served tirelessly in the HP
NO JAIL opposition effort, chairing the committee responsible for
contacting and lobbying elected officials. He is now well known to local
officials, as well as business and community leaders.
NICOLE MAZZA is
Chair of the NO JAIL outreach committee. Due to her organizational skills
and outgoing personality (and the solid support of her husband SHAWN),
most of our neighbors are now well aware of the jail opposition effort,
and thousands have signed the NO JAIL petition.
KEN KNOKE, our current Secretary , has held the position for several
years. Because of his new son and family responsibilities, he tells
us he can no longer give the job 100 percent. We are hoping one of our
neighbors will step up to the plate. The Secretary takes minutes at
each meeting, delivers the typed minutes in a timely fashion, and completes
other such tasks to help the Web Goddess and officers document HPAC
activities.
